Almost every parent say what they want for their child is to be happy, but our resident psychologist says this actually causes more harm than help.

According to Collett Smart, wanting our children to be happy should not be our parenting goal. When children only think about being happy, it fails to acknowledge all the emotions we experience as humans. Even worse, we fail to build resilience and teach them to regulate their feelings.
