Lunch box bliss balls — Cooking with Gia and Olive

A nut-free snack for your child's lunch box.

Prep & Cook Time: 10 minutes + 30 minutes fridge time

Makes: 18 balls


  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup desiccated coconut
  • ¼ cup pepitas
  • ¼ cup sunflower seeds
  • ¼ cup raisins
  • ¼ cup currants

Optional ingredients:

  • ¼ cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp cinnamon, ground


  1. Blend all ingredients in a food processor at a high speed until the mixture is sticky and does not crumble when shaped into a ball.
  2. Wet hands or rub some coconut oil into your palms. Firmly press and shape the mixture into balls.
  3. Place balls in the fridge for about 30 minutes to set.
