Why your period is no longer the same

Q: My period hasn’t been the same since I had my baby. It used to last for almost a week, but it now only goes for four or five days. Is this normal?

It’s not uncommon for your period pattern to have changed—longer or shorter, heavier or lighter—as your endometrial lining (what is shed during your period) has to remodel itself after a pregnancy. All of this is very normal.
